Matcha guide

Iced matcha, made clean.

Smooth matcha, cold milk, quiet layers, and no clumps. A simple home ritual inspired by the drinks we serve at Oh! Cha in McAllen.

Matcha Powder(50g)

Start here

What you need.

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 2 ounces warm water
  • Ice
  • 6 to 8 ounces milk or milk alternative
  • Optional syrup, fruit, ube, vanilla, or cream top

Method

Four quiet steps.

01

Sift the matcha

Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of matcha powder. Sifting first helps the latte taste smooth instead of chalky.

02

Whisk with a small amount of water

Add a splash of warm water and whisk until the matcha looks glossy and fully dissolved.

03

Build over ice

Fill a cup with ice, add milk or your favorite milk alternative, then pour the matcha over the top.

04

Sweeten lightly

Add simple syrup, vanilla, strawberry, ube, or a cream top if you want a more café-style drink.

Want the Oh! Cha version?

Try it in the café, then bring the ritual home.

Try Double Matcha, Ube Snow Matcha, Coconut Cloud Matcha, or Matcha Swirl first. When you know your favorite, take a tin home.
